Timeline

???: Anime Nashville moves from Cool Springs Media Play to Hickory Hollow Media Play when CS store closes (?) [At least the wall art made its way to HH]
???: First few meetings are held in the book section of Media Play with flyers distributed around the small anime VHS tape section. Fred Quinones presides over the meetings.
???: Rapidly running out of interesting things that could be shown "out in public", and also room to sit, the club meetings move to the break room of Media Play. 2nd Mondays of each Month?
???: Collect-a-con aka "Suck-a-con" held in the Nashville convention center. Anime Nashville mans a small booth showing Anime and AMVs on a small tv.

March 1997: First Digital Video Disk players hit the US market, not having to choose between subtitled and dubbed Anime is a promising feature
November 14-16 1997: AWA 3 (Phil, Stephen)

April 1998: Anime Nashville mailing list begins on webguys.com.
August 17, 1998: Website moves to the new domain: AnimeNashville.org
October 9-11 1998: AWA 4 (Phil, Ed, Stephen) AN entered Danger Zone, Phil entered Quantum Mechanic AMVs?

April 17, 1999: Insane "sports car" thread begins on the mailing list. The longest, most off-topic thread to date. It inspires Stephen's Cars AMV.
August 11 1999: Initial discussiong begins on Constitution and Bylaws for Anime Nashville
October 7 1999: First T-shirts are completed
October 8-10 1999: AWA 5 (Phil, Stephen, Wes, Paul, Lucas, Patrick, Chris T) Phil entered "Young Boys" AMV, wins "Most Sick & Perverted". Melissa noticed our T-shirts and began coming to meetings
November 8 1999: Bylaws enacted. Officers elected: Fred was re-elected as President, Phil - VP, Ed - Master at Arms, Wes - Librarian, Lucas defeated Klara in a runoff for Secretary.
December 11 1999: MTAC 1 held (Volunteer staff from AN: Patrick, Lucas, Fred, Phil, Stephen, Chris T, Melissa, Chris K, Klara)
December 13 1999: Meetings move to Outer Limits Murfreesboro

January 24 2000: Meetings moved to second Thursdays of each month
June 8 2000: Meetings moved to Tower Records, Opry Mills
August 8 2000: MTAC 2 (scheduled for Sep 9) cancelled.
September 13 2000: The Second Impact (see Evangelion)
October 4 2000: The Second T-shirt of Anime Nashville Hits
October 6-8 2000: AWA 6 (Phil, Stephen, Ed, Melissa, Chris T, Budd, Patrick, Lucas, Fred, Mylena, Autumn, Wes, Ken, Patrick, Paul) Footage for "Baka" MV shot

November 30 2000: Long-running roughly bi-weekly showing of Maison Ikkoku starts at Stephen's place.
December 31 2000: New Year's party at Phil's house

March 17 2001: Flyers & Food: Teams of Anime Nashville members distributed flyers promoting the club around the Nashville area, then met for food at Yamamoto.
April 5 2001: Budd hosts one of the Maison Ikkoku meetings and brings a "real life Japanese girl" She can't believe we watch such shows, and runs away very fast ^_^
May 19 2001: Cell painting at Phil's house: "We spent two to three hours painting and playing Bomber Man (Playstation Party Edition) and then took a break to go to Cookers to eat. We then came back to my place where we did some final touching up of the cells (and Bomber Man) and then called it a night." -Phil
June 9 2001: Video Editing party to assemble the "Yasashii, Ii Ko ni Narenai" aka "Akane's Baka Song" music video with clips from AWA 6.
September 21-23 2001: AWA 7 (Autumn, Phil, Ken, Melissa, Budd, Ashli, Jung, Paul, Fred, Mylena, Scott, Stephen)
October 26 2001: Halloween Party at Stephen's
November 2-4 2001: MTAC 2.5 held
November 29 2001: After coutless delays and a shop switch, new t-shirts are delivered
December 13 2001: Elections that were delayed from November 8 held: President: Stephen, VP:Phil, MAA: Budd , Sec: Autumn, Lib: Ken
December 19 2001: Budd comes up with an idea for a spin-off Science Fiction Book club
December 31 2001: New Year's Party at Phil's

January 5: Not having learned from the first time, Fred starts a new car thread about "The Fast and the Furious" that runs rampant for a while.
January 16: The final 5 Episodes (#92-96) of Maison Ikkoku are watched, brining to a close the "Meisomi's."
January 19: Lan party at Stephen's house.
January 31: One more Maison Ikkoku meeting is held to watch the movie.
February 3: Superbowl/housewarming party at Budd's new house.
February 21: About 12 AN members see Jin Rohi(d) at the Belcourt, and handed out flyers for MTAC
March 7: Inu-Yasha is chosen as the next long-running series to view after Maison Ikkoku, and the first meeting is held
